Who are you and what do you do?
We are best friends Liz Corrie and Cat Luce and Shadow Works Art Collective is our creative crystal business! Liz creates crystal jewelry, spell bottles, and ornaments and Cat creates crystal dice sets and hand painted teenie terrariums! Together we have turned a lifelong friendship into a business that reflects our individual personalities and love for adventure!
What has been your favorite moment since creating your art/business?
We source many of our own crystals by visiting public mines such as amethyst mines in Thunder Bay, ON and Quartz mines in Mount Ida, AR. Our business is always an adventure, whether we are rolling around in the dirt or laughing ourselves to tears on the way home from an art show!
What sets your designs apart from others?
Our designs are very unique and we often hear people say they have never seen anything it before. We combine our own individual interests into our art and have a little something for everyone!
What is the latest thing you have been working on?
Our skills have increased significantly and we are always coming up with new ideas! It certainly helps to have your bestie and #1 fan as a business partner, we are always encouraging each other to try new things! Liz’s latest creation is a Minnesota Crystal Garden Pendant featuring Lake Superior agate and Thunder Bay Amethyst. On the back is stamped various Minnesota themed scenes. Cat has created new Picture Globes with nature scenes featuring larger hand-painted miniatures!
What will you be bringing to the Gift & Art Expo for attendees to purchase?
We will have our full inventory plus our holiday themed items including Christmas ornaments and winter teenie terrariums! Cat’s teenies change every season, this is a great chance to become a collector!
